Genotropin: General Information & Indications
National HRT® provides adults, who are diagnosed by our doctors with a growth hormone (GH) deficiency, a safe and legal way to receive Genotropin HGH therapy. This superior bioidentical medication is manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer and is of the highest quality and effectiveness.
GH deficiency is a condition that occurs in adults when the pituitary gland no longer meets the output needs of the body in its secretion of a chemical messenger called somatotropin. This essential hormone is required for the following key areas in the body:
- Cellular Regeneration
- Cognitive Functions
- Heart Health
Through these many areas, GH aids in preventing weight gain, maintaining energy levels, regulating immunity, protecting vital internal organs from shrinkage, keeping skin tight, preventing bone loss and osteoporosis, maintaining lean muscle mass, sharpening memory and cognitive skills, and supporting proper libido functions.
In order to receive Genotropin human growth hormone, some diagnostic protocols must first be followed, including:
- Blood analysis
- Physical examination
- Medical questionnaire
The purpose of these steps is to provide the diagnosing specialist with a full spectrum of what is occurring in the body. This includes the blood test that will rule out other possible medical issues while at the same time showing whether or not there is a GH deficiency present in the body. The physical exam also helps to eliminate other health concerns while providing further information that will be used in the diagnostic and dosage determination process.
The final step before Genotropin growth hormone can be authorized for use is the medical history questionnaire. This will show if there are any other past or current concerns that could prevent the usage of this medication, or shed light on other issues that might be contributing to the symptoms that are present.
At National HRT®, our entire medical staff is committed to providing adults with the highest level of customer service and care at all times. Please contact our clinic for a complimentary phone consultation today.
Benefits of Genotropin
When an adult is diagnosed with low growth hormone levels, there will often be many warning signs that will be noticeable. Because somatotropin plays a part in so many of the body’s different functions, the effects can be felt in many different ways, and will often vary from one person to the next.
The benefits of using Genotropin to correct this deficiency will also vary amongst individuals based on how each person’s body has reacted to the hormonal imbalance, and the treatment that is then prescribed for use. The results typically address the symptoms that have appeared.
This is what to expect from Genotropin once treatment for low GH production begins:
- Increased energy and stamina
- Stronger bones
- Sharper memory and focus
- Improved lean muscle tone and mass
- Loss of excess belly fat
- Better sleep
- Improved libido and performance
- Lower cholesterol
- Stronger immune functions
- Smoother skin
- Thicker hair
- Improved eyesight and night vision
- Reduced recuperation time from illness, injury, and exercise
- Increased internal organ growth and function support
- Enhanced cellular regeneration
- Better mood and outlook
Starting with an increase in energy which is usually noticeable within the first week of treatment, the other Genotropin results will proceed to be seen over the next few months.
Possible Side Effects of Genotropin
The most common side effects related to the use of Genotropin HGH by Pfizer include the following:
- Muscle or joint pain
- Edema – fluid retention
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- High cholesterol
These issues are most likely to be seen when the dosage of growth hormone is too high for what the body needs. That is why it is always recommended to contact a hormone replacement therapy specialist for diagnosis and treatment of GH deficiency with HGH Genotropin. This will help to minimize the risks of any adverse effects occurring.
If any unwanted Genotropin side effects should arise, contact the doctor at once. The dosage of medication will be lowered accordingly, and the effects will naturally reverse themselves.
One of the benefits of the Genotropin Pen systems is that it makes administering the proper dosage easy to do. If the dial has been accidently turned beyond the dosing point, it can simply be dialed back to the correct amount. This decreases the risk of accidental overdosing of the medication.
If there is a concern, contact the clinic immediately for advice.
The possible risks of overdose with HGH medication include:
- Cold sweats
- Increased hunger
- Fast heartbeat
Again, please contact the clinic if any of these symptoms appear.
Usage and Administration of Genotropin
Proper usage of Pfizer Genotropin will differ from product to product, as there are three unique options provided by this pharmaceutical company for use. The administration of each will be explained in complete written and online video instructions, as well as being discussed with one of our clinical advisors here at National HRT.
Here is an overview of each type of Genotropin HGH therapy:
The Genotropin Pen is available in a 5 mg and 12 mg format. It is a convenient all-in-one system that works by using a dosing knob to dial the applicable dosage that the doctor has prescribed for use. The 5 mg pen allows for increments of 0.1 mg while the 12 mg pen provides doses in multiples of 0.2 mg. The highest possible dosage on the Genotropin Pen 5 is 2.0 mg while the Genotropin Pen 12 allows for a 4.0 dose of human growth hormones.
A sealed cartridge contains two chambers – one with the freeze-dried human growth hormone powder and the other with the pre-measured sterile water (diluent) that will be used to mix the medication when ready for use. There are no separate vials or solutions to measure, as everything is self-contained and ready to go inside the cartridge. Before mixing, these cartridges can be maintained at room temperature and then stored in the refrigerator once combined for usage. Tiny disposable diabetic needles are included for use.
The Genotropin Miniquick Pen is a unique option that is a superior choice for individuals who find themselves traveling a great deal. Just as with the Genotropin pens mentioned above, the Miniquick contains the medication and solution in a two chamber system. The uniqueness of this product is that each one is a single dose, pre-filled and pre-measured syringe. It never requires refrigeration and is an excellent on-the-go choice for busy professionals or retirees who are ready to see the world.
The Genotropin Mixer combines the convenience of the pen systems above with the ease and simplicity of a traditional syringe. A two-chamber cartridge combines the bacteriostatic solution and freeze-dried powder already pre-measured and sealed inside this unit in one simple step. Standard insulin needles/syringes are provided for use with this option.
There are some other guidelines that we would like to provide at this time:
